<p>The good news is that it really didn&#8217;t take a lot of effort. Yes, I did switch my eating habits, but it wasn&#8217;t work.</p>
<p>I just changed a few things. Week by week I kept losing. I guess the hardest part for me was the cutting out of tomato&#8217;s and the first week of course. But other than that it was pretty easy.</p>
<p>23 pounds later I&#8217;m still at the Morris Medical Center and will see what the next weigh in holds.</p>

And due to modern dietary habits that practically consist of foods high in sugar and fats which are not at all good for the body, the colon then works harder to cope with the demands of keeping the body clean and healthy.<br/><br/>When the colon has reached its probable limit, symptoms such as constipation, diarrhea, and migraines arise. However, many people tend to neglect such symptoms and in the long run suffers greatly with the onset of various diseases such as IBS, urinary tract infections and candidiasis, to mention only a few.<br/><br/>Colon hydrotherapy is one good preventive treatment for diseases primarily caused by unhealthy colons. In fact, the popularity of such procedure is quickly reaching millions, which only indicates that it is indeed effective. Colon hydrotherapy or colonic irrigation is a cleansing procedure which involves injecting gallons of sterilized water into the colon through the rectum. The water is made to continually pass into the entire length of the colon, and eventually flush out the impacted mucus and wastes. This procedure may take an hour or less, depending on the condition of the colon.<br/><br/>The procedure may be done in the comforts of your own bathroom or with the expert guidance of colon hydrotherapist that work in a licensed colon irrigation clinic. For those who prefer to perform the procedure by themselves, they may purchase quality home colonic kits or colonic boards. The procedure is done while lying on the colenema board which rests over the toilet. A tube inserted in the rectum sends sterilized water gently flowing into the entire length of the colon. The flow is generated by gravity, not by any machine. This procedure may take 20- 60 minutes with 5 gallons of water periodically injected into the colon. The 5 gallon of water is not used altogether at one time, but gradually as water is required to go in and flush out naturally during the entire session for about 8-15 times. In going through with the procedure, assistance is needed.<br/><br/>On the other hand, for those who are not willing to administer their own home colonics, they may opt to go to colonic clinics and have the procedure performed by trained colonic therapists. Several colonic clinics employ both closed system and open system colonic machines.<br/><br/>The closed system colonic machine involves the use of sterilized speculum. The speculum is attached to a colonic machine by to hoses: one hose is for the water flowing into the colon while the other is for the water flowing out of the colon. The open system on the other hand uses a pencil size tube connected to a water tank.
